Growth, Experience & Success

Are you prepared?

Growth, Experience & Success, I've been thinking about this for a while and I stumbled across a quote from Benjamin Franklin - "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning." This got me thinking.... where do we start?

Mr. Franklin speaks of "continual growth" but where do we begin to grow? Many people may not think about this as much, however it is important. We live in a society where many live for the day, and move along there lives in whichever direction it flows. This should not be.

I'm sure everyone has a goal and that's a great start. We must all have something we yearn for, however we must not stop there. Every step in live we make forward, it must be toward that goal. Many people get caught up in daily activities and forget what they really want and this occurrence should be avoided.

I'm speaking from personal experiences, and just sharing my thoughts on the topic. So in a nutshell, I believe we must have a goal, we must grow and shape our lives in such a way that we can achieve the goal, and we must continue to grow and achieve.

Religion!

Why must Religion defy humans?

Why must Religion defy us? I am no way against Religion or God, but recently I've been thinking about the big role those two factors play, in the daily lives of most of us.

We already have so many barriers in life, we have geographical barriers, language barriers, some people see race as a barrier, and now to the pile Religion? All these barriers keep persons from seeing the true identity of other people.

There is always a preconceived notion when you learn certain things about others. For instance, say a person was walking down the street, and met someone, with a great personality and charm, only to learn that the person is of Muslim faith.... I bet some people would react differently to that, maybe saying "Oh, that person is a Muslim, let me stay away". Then again this is just my opinion on what I've observed.

Now, Listen I'm not saying condemn Religion, everyone has there beliefs, I'm just saying people should not go along with their preconceived notions about others, and accept people for who they are. I'm also trying to say Religion should be a personal thing, something you hold dare, after all it is who you are, however...don't let it control you life. Follow your Religious rules and obligations, however think freely and objectively.

Some people are affected on the daily, with the breaking of relationships, breaking of families and even some people having to turn away true love and friendships. I don't know all the rules of every Religion, but (I'm asking) does it have writings saying two or more people of different Religions, can't live in unity and friendship?

Anyways, I'm not saying everyone is affected by this, however I would love to read some responses and comments on the issue, to broaden my knowledge and understanding.
